Individual Criminal Record Checks
Basic Disclosures and DBS checks (formerly known as CRB checks) are criminal record checks that have increasingly become a requirement for individuals who will be undertaking work in any of a number of employment sectors. Generally, employers will handle the DBS application process for an individual through a company like ourselves who in turn go through the Disclosure & Barring Service (for Standard or Enhanced DBS checks) or Disclosure Scotland (for all Basic Disclosures) to obtain the required criminal record check.
Sometimes an individual may need to take responsibility for providing a recent Basic Disclosure/DBS Certificate to a company/charity/agency/licencing authority. Individuals are able to complete our online application form and submit their supporting documents as attachments. Once you have provided the organisation/employers details UK Employee Checks will then handle your application. Your original documents will need to be verified by someone in the organisation who you will be working with/for. Simply show your original ID document (Passport or Driving licence) to someone in the organisation who is involved in your recruitment e.g HR /line Manager etc. This person will need to sign a copy of the document and certify that it is a true copy of the original. You will generally receive your certificate by post within two weeks.
